The Long Road Back
Consistency Wins
It seems like progress is slow, but it compounds over time if you are consistent.
Two years ago I was in the hospital recovering from a second surgery on my ankle due to a staph infection. I had surgery number three on Nov. 1. That December, I started going to the gym in a wheelchair.
Now I'm at the gym lifting weights or at the rock gym climbing at least five days a week, and hiking 45 minutes to an hour most days with the dogs.
I'm still not back to "normal," but I've certainly improved a lot.
